Titanium Septum Rings for Sensitive Skin

Titanium is lightweight, nickel-free, and a comfortable choice if other metals irritate your piercing. Choose internally threaded titanium septum rings with smooth ball ends, seamless hinged titanium hoops, or titanium horseshoes with spike ends for a bolder look.

Types of Septum Rings

Septum clickers open on a hinge and snap shut, so they're the easiest to change and often come set with CZ gems or opals. Captive bead rings hold a bead or fixed ball in place for a classic look, and horseshoe circular barbells have screw-on ball or spike ends you can flip up to hide. Styles range from subtle gem clickers to bold spikes for any look.

16G Septum Jewelry and Sizing

Most septum piercings are done at 16G, and 14G gives a thicker, bolder look. A 5/16" (8mm) diameter sits close to the nose, while 3/8" (10mm) hangs a little lower. Not sure of your size? See our body jewelry gauge size chart, or ask your piercer to confirm your gauge and fit.

Septum Rings FAQ

Can I flip my septum ring up to hide it?

Yes. Horseshoe circular barbells are made for this: the ring flips up inside your nostrils so it's hidden from the front. It's easiest once your septum is healed; ask your piercer before flipping a new piercing.

How do I put in a septum clicker?

Open the hinged segment, gently lift the tip of your nose to find the piercing, and guide the open end through. Close the segment until it clicks and turn the clicker so the decorative side faces out.

Can I wear the 18G/20G captive bead ring in my septum?
