Why Choose Titanium
Titanium is nickel-free, so it's the go-to metal if other jewelry makes your piercings red, itchy, or irritated. It's also lighter than steel, which you'll notice in heavier pieces like belly rings and hoops. It doesn't tarnish, and it holds up to everyday wear. Many piercers start new piercings in titanium for these reasons.
Internally Threaded and Threadless Titanium
Many of our titanium labrets, curved barbells, belly rings, and nipple bars are internally threaded, which means the threads are on the removable top rather than the bar. The bar that passes through your piercing stays smooth. Titanium hinged hoops click shut, and open titanium nose rings adjust by hand. Colored titanium uses a PVD coating that's bonded to the metal.
Shop Titanium Body Jewelry by Piercing
Start with your piercing: nose studs, nose hoops, septum rings, labret studs, belly ring barbells, nipple bars, and dermal tops all have titanium options. Not sure of your size? See our body jewelry gauge size chart, or ask your piercer to confirm your gauge and fit.
Titanium Body Jewelry FAQ
Is your titanium implant grade?
Some of our titanium pieces are listed as ASTM F136 (also called G23), the implant-grade titanium standard for body jewelry. Check the details on each listing; where a listing only says titanium, it doesn't state a grade. Your piercer can advise if you need implant grade.
Is titanium better than surgical steel?
Titanium is nickel-free and lighter, which matters most for sensitive skin and new piercings. Surgical steel is also durable and costs less. If your piercings react to steel, choose titanium.
Does colored titanium fade?
Our colored titanium uses a PVD coating that's bonded to the metal. It holds up well, but any coating can wear with time, especially on jewelry that rubs against teeth or clothes.
